Metallica's new concert stage production

From the Mexico show:

It looks VERY cool. Very iconic and arguably the best in all of metal. Shouldn't they have put on a concert stage production of this magnitude years ago?

I posted a fan video of the first night of some of the highlights of the new stage show in the setlist thread, check it out if you haven't already I agree with WK, it is one of the best stage set ups I have seen and I really think they put a lot of thought and effort into planning this; I hope it doesn't limit them too much in changing songs up, but that is a small complaint

In fact, the video in the link is the one I posted, so there you go

Sorry for the internet breaking double post guys

AJFA, RTL, S&D, Sandman, MoP, Nothing Else Matters & Sad But True are likely set list staples from this point forward but Im not one to complain. They almost have to play those songs now!!!

This makes me want to fly to Vancouver for the show on the 18th when they film a new DVD.

Meh, so they've reused the shitty coffins from the Death Magnetic tour (which never looked good and mostly just got in the way), and the stage "disaster" stuff from the Cunning Stunts tour... Yeah great.

The only cool things are the new Justice statue, and I guess the Metal Up Yer Ass toilet...

I've got news for you, these songs have been set staples for a very long time now. Nothing Else Matters should've been dropped 15 years ago already. The soccer moms who like that song don't go to Metallica shows. The last two times I saw them the song got no reaction at all.

I think the coolest effect they have now is the one for RTL. I'm not sure why it took them so long to do that for the song? As for the stage falling apart and the band only playing with a few spot lights on them, I saw that all on the Load tour and it was really stupid. I'm guessing it will be the same this time around.
