I didn't like this album much at first, but it's beginning to grow on me. I thought it was more of the same "heavy just for heaviness sake" that was their first few albums (i.e., everything not named "Guiltless"), but I'm finding there's more to it than that. It's heavy, sure, but I think they're starting to hit their stride with a balanced mixture of brutal and beautiful.

The vocals on this are plain hilarious. This album basically sucks, but the blueprint for what was to come was clearly forming, which makes it kind of interesting to listen to from time to time.

I like it way more than Guiltless. Some moments on this record are absolutely crushing and kind of hypnotic with how repetitive they are. I dig it a lot.
