I saw Iced Earth back in '04 when he was fronting the band (unfortunately) and it was awful. He has no stage presence whatsoever. He stands there and screams. I do enjoy a good scream but his are just annoying. I also recall him introducing almost every single song the same way:

"This one comes from... *stops to look at the setlist* The Glorious Burden C...D..."
"This one comes from... *stops to look at the setlist* the Horror Show C...D..."
"This one comes from... *stops to look at the setlist* The Dark Saga C...D..."

The only change-up and a real gem was when they played the Something Wicked trilogy.

He yells "Something Wicked!" and the crowd yells "This Way Comes!"

It couldn't have been any more retarded unless he first said "Ok, ok... I'm going to yell 'Something Wicked!' and then you guys yell 'This Way Comes!', alright? Are you ready? This is gonna be reaaaallly fun. Go! 'SOMETHING WICKED!"

Long story short, Tim Owens sucks noodles.

The white is actually how they dress up when they play during the day. They've used those outfits for a few European Summer festivals so far because apparently the black costumes are way too hot in the sun.

As for Ripper, I'm also annoyed that he always seems to be riding someone else's coat tails, as opposed to being successful on his own. He's also a walking billboard for monster energy drinks.

I dunno I've seen him with Iced Earth, Dio Disciples, and Yngwie. He probably is just trying to keep things straight with being in so many cover ban.... I mean bands.


I'm fine with him, just wondering if he had an off day or what. He did kind of phone it in for Yngwie, but I think that's cause Yngwie was like... primadonna #1
