Rising West -- Seattle, WA -- June 8th, 2012

Quote:
RISING WEST, the new band featuring Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Parker Lundgren of QUEENSRŸCHE, along with powerhouse vocalist Todd La Torre of CRIMSON GLORY, made its live debut last night (Friday, June 8) at the Hard Rock Café in Seattle, Washington. The band performed rare and classic hits from the first five QUEENSRŸCHE albums — from the 1983 EP through 1990's "Empire" — as well as a cover version of the IRON MAIDEN staple "Wrathchild".
01. Queen Of The Reich
02. Speak
03. Walk In The Shadows
04. En Force
05. Child Of Fire
06. The Whisper
07. Warning
08. The Needle Lies
09. Take Hold Of The Flame
10. Prophecy
11. My Empty Room
12. Eyes Of A Stranger

Encore:

This is cool, but nowhere near the level I thought it'd reach. Aside from En Force, Child of Fire, and Prophecy, there's nothing very unusual about the set. I was hoping for a lot more from Rage, especially. Hopefully tonight's set is (was) much better.

You know Wrathchild is overplayed when it shows up at over band's shows. Really good set but no sanctuary, nightrider, and before the storm would have been great additions.

Seriously. That's a fucking brilliant setlist, and who really expected most of those songs would get played by (basically) Queensryche again? Here's hoping that 'Prophecy' will make its stay!

They did the same set on Saturday night. It sounded great - the vocals were stellar. Probably the best Queensryche vocals since I saw them on the Rage for Order tour.

How did the band sound? Did they seem rejuvenated in any way?

The band were fantastic, sounded great and totally into the show. Playing songs I've wanted to hear for 20+ years.

I know I'm late on this but holy shit. Still feel lucky that I got to hear En Force in 2005 But to see Warning and Roads to Madness would be amazing.
