I'm surprised Grave is coming back so soon. Before their tour last year I don't think they had been to the west coast since the mid '90s. I'm excited to see them again though, they were incredible last year.

Also, it's kind of weird that the date here is at The Grove, which is a pretty large venue. The last two Morbid Angel shows (not including Scion Rock Fest) were at the House of Blues and the Key Club, both much smaller than The Grove. Granted, those dates were not part of an actual tour, but the House of Blues didn't even have to open up the balcony for the show. Just wondering how many tickets they are actually going to sell, especially when you figure that some of their fans will opt out of this tour for fear of them playing too much material off their recent crime against metalkind.

Too bad this isn't on a weekend in Toronto. I'll try to make it out, but I'm not sure if I will be able to.

Neighborhood around the venue is fine. Occasional homeless dudes (the sax guy is the best), but not too bad. A couple blocks down is really ghetto-y though.

There's a free (I think) parking garage a block or two away, but I usually park in the Route 66 Museum parking lot because I'm hardcore.
Thanks for the info. I'd really like to see Morbid Angel, but I don't know if I want to drive 2+ hours both ways on a school night, especially since I'm already doing it a week earlier. I guess I'll have to wait for the setlist.

Grave has released a lot of mediocre albums in recent years, but you should check out their debut if you haven't before. It's one of my favorite Swedish death metal albums.

Great, Morbid Angel is playing the venue where I intern. This means I get to bring David Vincent his pack of waters while telling him how morbid I am.
