This was the 1st of a 5 day mini-tour with Black Anvil that started two days after the Decibel Mag tour wrapped up. Black Anvil were tight and sounded great but I don't have a set list for them, although if i recall correctly, they play 7 songs. The rest of the openers were very unappealing to me.

Watain played as a four-piece with Erik on guitar. This was a small venue that holds about 250 and by the time Watain came on, the place was filled. The club let them do their normal stage setup so nothing was left out. I've seen this band about a dozen times now and this was by far the best they have ever sounded. Highlight of the night, Erik takes a mouthful of blood and bends down at the front of the stage and spits it all into one kid's face. The look on his face was priceless and just about each band member cracked a smile at the same time.

Thanks for posting. They also played an off date last night in Cleveland, but I wasn't able to attend. Another member of this forum (Moobys37) was supposed to be there, though - so maybe he'll post as well.

Interesting that they chose a cover song as an encore.

yeah, i realized the date in the title was in wrong format right after i submitted the post...i edited the title but it doesnt reflect on the main page...

anyway, as for the cover song as an encore, they would have played much longer...the club hired a cleaning crew to come in and thoroughly clean the place and they were set to start at 11pm so they made Watain stop otherwise the cleaners were leaving...

Well considering what state they usually leave the place in, that's certainly understandable...

I'd be curious to see a video of Watain performing with Erik on guitar! Sounds interesting. How was he?

he was pretty damn good...i was able to film Malfeitor, Rabid Death's Curse, and Storm of the Antichrist...i'll be posting them on youtube this weekend
