If this tour was scheduled about two weeks later I'd be able to go.

Wow, this might seriously be a total conundrum. I don't know if either of the sites that I write for is gonna take care of Outside Lands for me, if they do I might be forced to miss Agalloch, but if they don't I'll miss Metallica, Stevie Wonder, Foo Fighters, Neil Young and Jack White. The idea of seeing all of those acts is crazy, but I truly have no clue when Agalloch will tour next. Does anyone know if they regularly tour the west coast or not?

No idea. I was lucky enough to see them at Scion fest last year

Agalloch is my favorite band and I'd still probably go see Metallica instead. They'll be doing a lot of RTL material this time around.

Metallica haven't even announced what day of Outside Lands they'll be playing during, so there might be a chance to see both.

In my case, the problem isn't Metallica so much as it is the whole festival itself. Unless I'm only supposed to cover one of the three days, chances are it's either all of Outside Lands or Agalloch. Assuming one of the two sites I write for covers the ticket, I'll go with Outside Lands, otherwise I'll go to Agalloch. It'll be way cheaper, more intimate and chances are they'll play the best set out of anyone in SF that whole weekend.
