This.

Slayer IS one of the best live bands I've seen. They blew my fucking mind ten times over the one time I saw them. Tom sounded perfect, the band was spot-on, and the mix was unbelievable (save for a few brief problems during "Ghosts of War" when Kerry's guitar was cutting out). The lack of energy doesn't bother me at all. They play their songs fucking perfectly so I don't really care about an explosive stage presence. It's not like every iconic band I see I think is amazing live (ex: Obituary suck balls live imo), Slayer just happens to be and I am elated to see them again at Mayhem Fest.

Obituary and Slayer are IDENTICAL live. They both play their songs spot on, they're both boring.

I'm with mastodon421 on this one; Slayer is the most insane band I've ever seen. As much as I enjoyed Maiden last night, they are second to Slayer live. With that said, I'd like to see both bands again; in the case of Maiden, standing much closer, and for Slayer, much further away :P

So jelly, man! I'll see them at Riotfest later this year but not in a small show like that, where I can act like a skinny fggt and scream all the lyrics passionately.

I know! I should see TSSF since I'm also seeing Ghoul on my birthday with Autopsy, but Berkeley is hard for me to get to and back from.
