Well, most people would probably be able to find someone else to talk to in lieu of a friend

Still, I'd never pass up a show even if I was going alone, but I'd still feel awkward at the show, y'know?

Going to shows alone is really boring, especially when the show is out of your normal genre you see and you know no one that you know will be there. I normally get the drunk Pantera fan to talk to me...

This. I've never really attempted going to a show alone but when I saw Touche Amore last month I was gonna meet up with several people but I got there earlier than everyone so I was alone for the first few bands. If it was a metal show I probably would have been able to talk to any random dude but this clearly wasn't a metal crowd and people kinda just looked at me weird as I sat by myself.

I go to 90% of shows alone. Blows my mind that people don't go to a show because they'd have to go alone. I would hardly have seen any bands if I did that.

Edit: About going to shows alone... I used to do it all the time since none of my friends from school listened to the same music I did. However, because I did, I ended up meeting a shitload of really cool people that I am still friends with. A lot of them frequent shows as much as I do, so I'm relatively never alone at shows
