This. The streak would only end if they were erasing Undertaker from their merchandising entirely, which they'll never do unless he pulls a Chris Benoit. 'Taker isn't going to lose at Wrestlemania ever, which is why they aren't going to put his match as a title match either.

Well whatever, I didn't know that nor does it matter, I was just speaking generally. You get the idea.

I was never under the impression it was the Undertaker's contract that limited his public appearances. I always thought it was the deadman gimmick that did. Him not making many public appearances for the WWE fits the gimmick. When he was the American badass it seemed like he did more appearances. As the deadman it just makes sense that he wouldn't be out promoting the WWE because it just doesn't fit the character at all.

Plus, from all the stuff I've heard and read about him, he has an old school mentality and wants to maintain some secrecy and intrigue to his character. He's done a great job of that over the years.

So the WWE fans get to name the new unified title. I'd go with the "WWE Heavyweight Championship".

But the best answer is probably "John Cenas Belt".

Can't wait to see the atrocious new design. You know it's going to suck.

From what I understand his contract now prohibits public appearances as him to help maintain secrecy as if he will wrestle another match.

Chicago Comic Con tried to book him and I asked why WWE declined and they said that was the reason. Contract doesn't allow public appearances.

The Rock however was also tried to book and only denied because of film obligations so he can do public appearances.

I've heard the WWE also has a strict dress code that their wrestlers have to adhere to at all times. The only wrestlers that are exempt? CM Punk and the Undertaker. CM Punk had it written into his last contract and I'm sure the Undertaker did too.

I think we can all agree on one thing. Ambrose looks like Burton from Fear Factory.

Really? Whats the dress code like?

I know I've seen Punk wear like H20 and other hardcore band shirts.

I guess "business" is the best term. Suits, ties, very professional. Punk is one of the few who gets to "be himself".

I'm not sure if they do it anymore but I remember reading it a few years ago.

I have a feeling that working for the WWE isn't as fun as people may think it is.

I remember reading about the wrestlers dress code around the time they went to the PG rating. I think it was mainly for public functions but I read Punk got in trouble for not following it. Supposedly, the WWE wanted everyone to look professional whenever they were out in public. Cena, Undertaker, HBK and few other top stars were exempt. Not sure why Cena was since he's the ultimate corporate champ. Taker would just look stupid walking around in a suit all the time, so that made sense.

I haven't read too much about it in the last couple years so I'm guessing they did away with it. I've seen recent pictures of current WWE performers out in public who are dressed casual. It was a stupid idea anyways. If you want the fans to connect with a wrestler, they can't be walking around in a suit and tie everywhere they go. It's easier for the fans to relate to the peformer if they just look like a regular person while they're out and about. If they still do it now, Punk's star is definitely big enough that he is exempt from it. As opposed to back in 08/09 when I first read about the dress code.
