Danielle Barbe

Genre: Rock, Pop

Top tracks according to her Last.FM

1. Ghost Town
2. Wango Tango
3. No More Excuses

Pretty straight-forward female-fronted rock. "Wango Tango" has a very dark sound to it, so it's kind of cool. I don't think this is as good as, say, Cherri Bomb, but it's pretty interesting. I'll probably try to catch her.

Dates:

July 7th - July 20th

Well this sure is a weird band. I don't like pop-punk that has harsh vocals too much, but this is an enigma all of it's own. Honestly, it's like...positive deathcore? It's so weird and strange and it totally just does not work at all. Maybe if they were just straight up pop-punk they'd be better, but that's not what sells to kids, right?

Rating: 3/10

Dates:

All Dates.
If you don't like ADTR, you aren't gonna like Chunk. That's too harsh of a score for 'em for me personally.

Chelsea Grin is definitely not bad live. Nothing good, but not as bad as I thought they were gonna be. Haven't seen 'em in years now, though.

This. He is actually now within my top list of least liked live vocalist since he actually seems to try to sound horrible.

And really manks Chunk gets a 2/10. They deserve a 8!

Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! might be the worst band name I've ever heard.

Anti-Flag are okay; some good songs, but they're pretty much "Baby's First Political Band." Bayside are awesome. I wouldn't be caught dead listening to anything else listed so far.

Captain Capa - They just oozed the generic scene band vibe

All that needs to be said.

Champagne Champagne - I'm not too big on hip-hop, but I dug these guys a lot. Mostly from being subjected to whole songs by the former two bands and these guys sounded amazing in comparison.

Chelsea Grin - I like their first EP and album, but after that it's like they're not even trying.

Cherri Bomb - Holy fuck, I loved this! Kinda reminds me of Care Bears on Fire.

Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! - I'd heard the Kesha cover before (Seriously, how the fuck can you butcher a Kesha song?!) and hearing another song reaffirmed my initial opinion of this band. My main complaint out of many is that their vocalist is just terrible at both kinds of vocals and needs to just stop it.

Danielle Barbe - Actually pretty good, but not really my style. It felt a little to girly.

Some things first:

1. This thread will not contain "real" metal. There are a few bands that some consider metal, but most of it is not. Please don't bitch like a bunch of whiny bitches about it.

2. You should know by now my preference to radio-friendly pop/punk, so don't go apeshit when I tell you I
like Taking Back Sunday
or something.

3. I'll be going in alphabetical order.

4. Most of the bands are playing every date, I'll be sure to say when they aren't.

Okay, next post is the beginning!
You have already made me feel better about everything that's on my iPod. Thank you. /snarky comment

This, and if they sound anything like ADTR then a 3/10 is too high of a score.
