Breathe Carolina

Genre: Electropop, Crunkcore

Top tracks according to their Last.FM

1. Blackout
2. Hello Fascination
3. Welcome to Savannah

Okay, here's the thing. I've heard the "Blackout" song EVERYWHERE, but never knew who sang it. It's actually a pretty good David Guetta-esque take on pop music. But everything else Breathe Carolina has released since that is only a slightly more tolerable version of Brokencyde. When I saw them at Warped 2009, they were the worst thing I saw that day, because they just basically wanted to be Cobra Starship with screaming vocals. I won't check them out this year and I really have no interest of checking them out further, but hopefully they stay on the path that they're on now.

I went to see Big Chocolate with them by my house and I left after like two of their songs, I couldn't even stand it. That's a very accurate assessment of them, by the way.

Captain Capa

Genre: Electro, Pop

Top tracks according to their Last.FM

1. Farraday
2. Berlin Fainting
3. Lights and Heroes

Just kind of another crappy electronic/emo/pop band. You know, kinda like Breathe Carolina before them, and like countless other bands. This stuff is kinda less over-the-top and a little more catchy, but it's still not that good. The german accents are pretty hilarious too.

CatchingYourClouds

Genre: Acostic, Emo, Being A Pussy

Top tracks according to his Last.FM

1. LAWL
2. Swan Girl
3. Metrix

Like, I know I'm not the biggest fan of this kind of music, but is this kid not just a carbon copy of bands like NeverShoutNever? Adolescent kids with acoustic guitars and keyboards singing love songs with nerdy/quirky song titles? I mean, other than that, it's still pretty shitty and lame. I had a look of disgust on my face the entire time I listened to these songs.

Champagne Champagne

Genre: Hip-Hop, Experimental

Top tracks according to their Last.FM

1. Soda and Pop Rocks
2. Hollywood Shampoo
3. Molly Ringwald

Most of these guys stuff is just straight up hip-hop (and it's not terrible), but a few tracks I've heard have a very experimental sound to it. I'm not sure they'd go over well on Warped Tour, but they're basically trying to be a tamer version of Odd Future. Not terrible though.

Chelsea Grin

Genre: Deathcore

Top tracks according to their Last.FM

1. Cheyne Stokes
2. Judgement
3. Recreant

Just another one of your typical deathcore bands. I actually equate this one almost 100% to Suicide Silence. So, a bit better than Whitechapel, but still very bad. Nothing here that I haven't heard a million times by a million other terrible bands.

Cherri Bomb

Genre: Hard Rock

Top tracks according to their Cherri Bomb

1. Mirror Mirror
2. Spin
3. Already Dead

What a surprise! They play the sort of hard rock you'd hear on radio stations that normally play really bad radio rock, like Shinedown, Seether, etc., but they actually do the sound really good! I'd say they're like Halestorm - maybe even better! Too bad they won't be on my date. Hopefully they do a lot!

Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!

Genre: Pop-Punk, Deathcore, Post-Hardcore

Top tracks according to their Last.FM

1. Captain Blood
2. We R Who We R (Kesha cover)
3. We Fell Fast

Well this sure is a weird band. I don't like pop-punk that has harsh vocals too much, but this is an enigma all of it's own. Honestly, it's like...positive deathcore? It's so weird and strange and it totally just does not work at all. Maybe if they were just straight up pop-punk they'd be better, but that's not what sells to kids, right?

They used to be pretty good live but over the past couple years Alex has stopped trying. He sounds like total shit now. I thought they had potential (as a deathcore band at least), but that has all gone down the drain.
