The point is, how are we only hearing about this now and why does it take some worthless piece of shit like Facebook to make people notice?

It also amuses me that they chose famous people based on America's recognition of them to decide who to target. Ryan Seacrest? Seriously, no one outside of American knows, who gives a shit, who he is.

I was actually glad this wasn't discussed here till now. To be fair though my news feed is pretty bereft of those videos and most of the people seem to see through the "campaign".

The fact that this movement and the people supporting it, people trying to make a difference for the good of others, are being scoffed at it is pretty shameful to me. Unamerican and shameful.

Kony is a scumbag who deserves to die a slow and painful death but honestly, the whole movement is annoying the shit out of me. Something about all the support for this cause just seems so artificial to me. Kids in my school are flipping a shit trying to get the action pack. I hear typical douchebags in my classes who never gave a shit about Africa until 3 days ago going "I'M SO FUCKING PISSED THEY SOLD OUT OF ACTION PACKS!" I feel like they're only trying to acquire these materials to show off. Reminds of the whole Livestrong bracelet fad that was originally about donating to cancer research but just turned into a fashion statement.

I've actually not been among the ones overtly bothered by the people who care or at least show that they care about this campaign because frankly I feel quite indifferent about this going viral now. These issues have been prevalent in Uganda and other African countries since the early 80s and even if awareness is created now, it is too little too late I'm afraid.
