To me Rush is a huge influence on metal but not metal themselves. Another good example imo is Cygnus X-1 or the middle section of the Necromancer.

Rush has never had good album covers to begin with. Moving Pictures, Grace Under Pressure, Roll The Bones and Test For Echo are really the only good album covers I think they've ever had.

Rush is as good at selecting album covers as they are at making videos.

I find nothing special about those covers. I forgot to add Fly By Night to the short list of Rush album covers I like. They're the greatest band ever but their covers for the most part aren't that good.
