Anthrax - Canadian tour 2012

http://www.torontosun.com/2012/02/24...cdn-tour-dates

Quote:
Expect an Anthrax outbreak in Canada this fall.

The American thrash-metal vets are heading north of the border for a run of shows in late September and early October, according to the online concert site Pollster.

Anthrax’s Canadian tour reportedly begins Sept. 20 in Vancouver and heads east, wrapping up in Montreal on Oct. 2.

There’s no information yet on tickets or opening acts, so stay tuned for more info.

The New York City outfit — co-founded by guitarist Scott Ian in 1981 — are one of the so-called Big Four of thrash, along with Metallica,

Megadeth and Slayer. They recently reunited with longtime singer Joey Belladonna to release their 10th studio album Worship Music.

Anthrax Canadian tour dates:

Sept. 20 | Vancouver | Vogue Theatre

Sept. 21 | Calgary | Flames Central

Sept. 22 | Edmonton | Event Centre

Sept. 24 | Saskatoon | Odeon

Sept. 25 | Winnipeg | Burton Cummings Theatre

Sept. 29 | Toronto | Phoenix Concert Theatre

Sept. 30 | Kitchener | Elements

Oct. 2 | Montreal | Metropolis
I'll be at the Saskatoon show on the 24th. They put on a great performance when they opened for Rob Zombie in '06, so I'm definitely looking forward to a headlining show. Hope they bring some good openers with them.

My attendance will likely depend on the opening acts, but damn September feels extremely far away. I won't even know what my schedule will look like until mid August.

Same here. I wouldn't mind seeing Anthrax headline, but I hate Metropolis in Montreal.

I'm guessing no Death Angel either since they're doing that tour with Sepultura.

This is obviously pure speculation and totally unconfirmed, but perhaps they might play with Kreator: http://www.metalsetlists.com/showpos...3&postcount=35

I'm not gonna get my hopes up until I hear something more concrete, but it's a possibility. This tour is still seven months away so they probably aren't ready to announce things just yet.

As cool of a bill that would be, I wanna see Kreator headline if they come to NA. They were awesome as hell on their 2010 tour. This would probably be the first tour that one of the big 4 of american thrash and one of the big 3 of German thrash toured together NA though, huh? If that opens the door for future stacked bills, I'd be down.
