Hmm. Listened to it last night, and I was actually bored. I miss the groove that they used to have; it just feels like fast, generic death metal now. Maybe I just need to listen to it again.

That's how I felt about Ruination. The songs I heard from this album sounded no different. I think Genesis was their best work.

I only liked Doom. Genesis turned me away from JFAC.

Post-Doom JFAC is a completely band for all intents and purposes. I liked certain parts of certain songs from Doom, especially What We Once Called Home, but as a whole I thought it was painfully boring to get through.

Word. I like Entombment, but that's it from Doom.

That song isn't even on Doom either, it's on their Demo.

Personally I'd go with Doom > Gloom > Demonocracy (fuck that title) > Ruination > Genesis.

My pre-order finally came today so I just checked it out and I think it's great. Easily the best thing they have done so far. It's a lot faster and there are quite a few awesome riffs on here. After 1 spin, "Noruishment Through Bloodshed, "Tongueless and Bound", "The Manipulation Stream" (my absolute JFAC favorite song not only on this album, but ever) and "The Deity Misconception" are my faves on the record.

I think Gloom was their last effort I could really get into. Not that this album is bad, its just all too similar for me.
