Arsis -- West Springfield, VA -- September 1st, 2014

Full review

Arsis was playing their "Celebration of guilt" album in its entirety for the 10 yr anniversary.

Exmortus was pretty great, their twin guitar harmonies were rather enjoyable.

Allegaeon were pretty good, tho I think some technicality got lost in the Empire sound system

Arsis were entertaining, especially when playing some songs that have not been played on tour live (from that "...Guilt" album). They also threw in a great cover of WASP's "ANIMAL (FUCK LIKE A BEAST)" for some reason.

first night of the tour and there was a lot of merch
too

I wish this was coming here

The merch looks cool but the back of that Arsis tour shirt looks bad. I get what they were going for, but judging from that photo, it looks like shit.

I can confirm it was not the amazing yet uninspired "Forced to Rock" (which i've not heard in ages). I didn't recognize the 2 ?'s, but I imagine they must be songs that they usually play?

When you said Biomech for Allegaeon, did you meen Biomech Val. 666 from their debut LP or Biomech 2 from their latest LP?

that's a good point. I think it was the newer one? I am not sure, I just heard them announce "BIOMECH"
