Anthrax -- Baltimore, MD -- February 7th, 2012
Great show! Death Angel was just ok but Anthrax and Testament killed it. I was worried that the show wasn't gonna happen after there was over an hour long pause after Death Angel's set because someone spilled something on the soundboard. Apparently the Anthrax sound guy figured out how to control the board from an ipad and the show could go on. Thankfully neither band had to cut their set short. Testament was entertaining as always. This was my fourth time seeing them and the first time I've been on Alex's side. I had never noticed how awesome of a bass player Greg is. I was really happy to hear Henchman Ride and I got an Alex pick at the end of the show.
Testament: 01. The Preacher 02. The New Order 03. The Persecuted Won't Forget 04. Practice What You Preach 05. Over The Wall 06. Souls Of Black 07. Into The Pit 08. Electric Crown 09. Henchmen Ride 10. More Than Meets The Eye 11. Disciples Of The Watch --- 12. D.N.R. (Do Not Resuscitate) 13. 3 Days In Darkness 14. The Formation Of Damnation This was my first time seeing Anthrax headline and they were a ton of fun, especially Joey. The new stuff sounded great and the Worship Music songs might have been my favorites of the night. I got Joey to interact and sing with me a few times, especially during the "one I would bleed and kill for" part of In The End. It was a shame Charlie and Frank weren't there but Joey Vera did a really good job of filling in and he seemed like a really cool guy. Rob didn't seem thrilled to be there, I don't know what his deal was. Even Joey was telling him to cheer up. I got a pick from both Rob and Scott and Scott's says Satan on the back instead of his name. Picked up an Anthrax and Testament tour shirt after the show for $25 each.Anthrax Set List: Intro: Worship 01. Earth On Hell 02. Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't 03. Caught In A Mosh 04. Antisocial 05. The Devil You Know 06. Indians 07. In The End 08. Got The Time 09. Deathrider 10. Medusa 11. Among The Living --- 12. Madhouse 13. Metal Thrashing Mad 14. I Am The Law

I would've rather heard I'm Alive like they did on the first leg but Deathrider was ok. I don't have Fistful so I didn't really know it well.

Don't be too concerned with Rob not being into it. He's like that all the time. His stage persona is pretty much a statue that plays guitar.

Yeah I was having a flashback to when Nutstain stormed off like a little bitch. Glad to see Anthrax and Testament are more professional than Megadeth and soldiered on.
Both bands were awesome. Actually Death Angel were great too and they deserve 8-9 songs. Especially when we waited an hour anyway. I didn't expect ANY hot girls to be there and there were actually a few. Good times...
