Honestly that's fine by me, id rather he get healthy(sounds more serious than just missing a few shows)

and atleast Charlie should be back soon

Just found this little snippet in a review on Rolling Stone:

Quote:
Filling in sonically from backstage for the missing musicians were Donnie Steele on bass, and on guitars Nick Hipa and Phil Sgrosso from As I Lay Dying. "Even though it was very, very hard for us," Taylor told the crowd, "we decided we would come out here and give you every fucking ounce of energy we’ve got."

So looks like Jim Root's guitar parts are not just being played from tape.

Sorry, but Slipknot is idiotic with the whole "can't have the replacements/fill-ins on stage" thing.

Thats cool!!! They should get those AILD guys some orange jumpsuits & put them onstage too. Give one a Ronald McDonald mask & the other the Burger King mask & let them rock!!!

Agreed but they're gonna do what they're gonna do. Joey seemed like a dick about in that interview though.

Doesn't surprise me, apparently back in 05 Paul missed a few shows and members of Shadows Fall and Lamb Of God filled in on bass

The official Mayhem Fest 2013 Survey is out: http://ow.ly/bYAvV
Apparently John Reese uses the survey to book mid level acts on the festival. He stated Unearth would not have been booked the last time they played if not for support via this survey. I wrote in my preferrences of Down, Ghost, Danzig (could play in Anthrax's slot), Arch Enemy & Skeletonwitch.

Mayhem Fest 2012 has barely started so lets save discussion for 2013 until at least Thanksgiving. Just thought I would pass that along.

I'd suggest Revocation for the sidestage but they wouldn't get the kind of support that Unearth got in that survey to get the organizers' attention.
