Someone involved with the tour. Not my best source but they are usually spot on with info on Mayhem

All the good bands on Sumerian:
After the Burial
Born of Osiris
Conducting from the Grave
Enfold Darkness
The Faceless
Periphery
T.R.A.M
Veil of Maya

(I haven't heard Dead Letter Circus so I can't comment on them). Unfortunately all of those bands minus Conducting from the Grave (and T.R.A.M who wouldn't fit on the bill) are on another summer tour so Mayhem Fest was left with a majority of the mediocre and bad bands on Sumerian.

I mean I know the label is paying for it, but I think having an all Sumerian stage is IMO the worst decision made for this festival. I really hope they don't do it next year.

I wouldn't be suprised to see several smaller record labels have stages at Mayhem Fest. Century Media, Sumerian, Relapse, etc. It would be similiar to Warped tour with several bands playing at the same time.

Basically any of those that you mentioned would be 100% better than Sumerian. At this rate I can almost work a full day and miss the crap.

Been hearing rumblings that seem to confirm the Sumerian artists rotating onto the 2nd stage to take HOF's slot idea

According to an interview with Kevin Lyman the "3rd stage will be running all the way up until Slayer". If the same system of alternating bands from stage to stage sticks around it seems like Anthrax might overlap with Motorhead.
