Yeah, I don't think they'd shuffle the order of bands around, they'll just get someone they can punch right into that spot. That nixes a lot of bands that either have a lot of pride or think they're too big to go on at 2pm in a parking lot. I think High on Fire was just keen on getting in front of that many people, most of the bands on the bill aren't bands that HOF would otherwise be involved with.

See that's why I thought Prong would do it, I mean they're doing small venues opening for Crowbar and COC and are like the first band on at Knot Fest, so obviously they aren't losing sleep over playing an afternoon slot

I'd be stoked for Prong. I guess Danzig doesn't have any dates so it could be possible. Though I don't think Slipknot necessarily has a ton of input or really cares about who is on second stage, like some people have suggested. Although Dirtfedd's presence on the Sumerian stage, even though they're not on Sumerian Records, is probably some Clown influence, actually, since he's working with them. I hope it's something out of left field, but I won't let myself get too excited. Whoever it is, I have to see them 26 times.

I would guess it will be Shadows Fall, Chimaira or Crowbar.

Anyone is a possibility. Most smaller bands would leave other tours for Mayhem Fest due to the exposure. I wouldn't be suprised to see a Century Media or eOne band land that slot.
