HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES "supergroup"

Live debut at Rock In Rio this year (confirmed by Alice). Album reportedly already recorded (according to the Rock In Rio website). No other news yet.

Alice Cooper - vocals
Joe Perry - guitar
Johnny Depp - guitar

No word on bassist and drummer yet. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Chuck Garric and Glen Sobel, at least live.

Johhny Depp and Alice Cooper sound like a random ass mix. I wouldn't be surprised if Depp tries to get Manson to be apart of this somehow.

The Alice & Joe I'm interested in. Depp really doesn't make me care one way or the other. I'm Definitely interested.

It's not random really. They've been friends for a very long time, and whenever Alice plays somewhere Depp happens to be, he sits in on the encore. It's happened a bunch of times.

As for this whole thing, it's totally a "wait and see" situation for me. I can see it being Alice's shot at finally doing a bunch of Rolling Stones-style rock 'n' roll, which I have absolutely no interest in, and nothing Joe Perry has ever done outside of Aerosmith has been remotely good. At least, as shitty a guitarist as Depp is, he basically won't have any effect on this because clearly Joe will do most of the writing/lead playing, and Depp is hardly going to be able to do a tour, so most of the time he won't be playing live either.

My hopes for this, despite Alice normally being untouchable, are not high.
