Still Remains -- Grand Rapids, MI -- January 14th, 2012

Still Remains were incredible! There was such an energy at the show! Tons of stage dives & sing-alongs. The place was pretty full. That venue only holds about 400 people, but it felt like a much bigger crowd. WOW! I was surprised to hear "Stay Captive" b/c when I saw Still Remains open for Haste the Day last year I asked their singer if they were gonna play "Stay Captive," and he smiled at me & said, "That song sucks." I just figured that was his clever way of saying he doesn't like playing that song live. They brought out their 2nd guitarist who wrote a song for them back in 2000, and he played that w/ them. I'd never heard that song before. Then they did their entire IF LOVE WAS BORN TO DIE EP. They said this was the longest set they've ever played. I believe it. I didn't get home until 3am, but it was totally worth it! I really hope they release a new CD & do a tour soon.

Still Remains setlist

The Serpent
Anemia in Your Sheets
To Live & Die By Fire
Stay Captive
Check Mate (new song)

San Juan (old song written in 2000)
Six and One
Recovery

The Worst is Yet to Come
