HMV Queens Jubilee "Best British Album" Poll

Apparently HMV conducted a poll to find out the public view of the best British album produced during the 60 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The winner was...

.... quite surprisingly...

2. DEPECHE MODE - Violator
3. THE BEATLES - Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
4. THE BEATLES - Abbey Road
5. PINK FLOYD - The Dark Side of the Moon
6. THE BEATLES - Revolver
7. QUEEN - A Night at the Opera
8. OASIS - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
9. ADELE - 21 - (pop music fans are so pathetic and shortsighted)
10. THE BEATLES - White Album

The Number of the Beasts doesn't even come close to touching Dark Side of the Moon.

Honestly, the rest of the list is a bit weird. Obviously the Adele one getting in is stupid current pop fans having the obligatory short memories, but no The Bends, no Parklife, no Zeppelin 4... those usually appear in these kinds of things.
