I really liked the diversity this year.

The stuff everyone knew would end up here (Anthrax, Mastodon, Iced Earth), the harder stuff that's still real popular (Revocation, The Black Dahlia Murder, Machine Head), and then the stuff that I think really came out of left field (Vektor, DTP, SubRosa)

Really glad Black Dahlia made the top 10, but I would have liked to see it a liiiiiiiiittle higher. Again, the fact that Anthrax is above that is so facepalmworthy. Ritual was a great example of the current/near future trend for good extreme metal, rather than a band 20 years past their prime churning out another record, not deviating from their style.

Also kind of sad that Touche Amore didn't break the top 10; I thought it might have a chance.

Oh let's be serious, with all the pointless jacking off over that guy here, I'm surprised it wasn't #1.

Yep. And guess what? Could care less. Making generalizations of a genre of metal I could care less about.

Isn't it "couldn't care less"? I make that mistake all the time because of that DevilDriver song.
