Finally saw The Artist yesterday. That was 96 minutes of a good cinematic experience.

That's what I've been hearing as well. Looks like I'll be waiting for this one to hit Demonoid.

Of course a film like Act of Valor is going to get bad reviews. It's an action movie starring Navy Seals (who clearly can't act and that's what all the reviews I've read have been complaining about). The auidence reception, on the other hand, has been really good. I haven't seen it so I can't comment, but I wouldn't let the critics reviews stop you from seeing it.

The American audience is giving rave reviews to a movie about our own NAVYSeals?!?! Improbable!!!! It seems like it could have made a better documentary from all the trailers and negativity I have read about it instead of trying to transform it into a movie. I feel like you can't take anyone's opinion into account if you are going to see this though. Go in with no preconceived notions and see what happens.

I'll just play Call of Duty instead of seeing that masterclass of ass. Actually I won't because FIFA won't let me.

Those accolades were quite well deserved.

Well I can understand why people could think so, because it was a French production and a silent film. It provided something different than the usual fare though so I'm alright with it winning stuff.

Kind of late to this thread.

Movies i'm looking forward to:

Dark Knight Rises
Amazing Spiderman
The Avengers
Bourne Legacy
John Carter
Prometheus
Piranha 3DD
World War Z

Best film of the year so far has been Chronicle. Then again the only other ones I've seen are Underworld Awakening and Haywire.
