I fucking love the whole horror mockumentary stuff. It has spawned some really interesting movies like The Tunnel, which can almost be believable at times due to them taking a serious government issue and mixing it with horror. I thought Atrocious was scary. Grave Encounters is pretty hilarious, making fun of those ghost hunters type tv shows. Also Paranormal Activity 2 and 3 were very good movies, the story throughout is well done and more thought out than most horror series, and I'm glad that they keep trying something new with the cameras each movie instead of relying on the same thing. They're also 2 of the most fun movies I've ever watched in theaters.
To each his own I guess but I think this trend can actually create something truly terrifying one day. |

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon Brutal Massacre Long Pigs The Hamiltons All more comedy than horror exceot for The Hamiltons, though these are true "mockumentaries". It's the "found footage" thing that I could do without. Cloverfield was good, but most of the post-Blair Witch stuff that I've seen has been mediocre at best. Cannibal Holocaust ftw

Probably. Although even the best 3D really just doesn't interest me. I try to see everything in 2D when it's available.

Yeah I mean I'm fine with a mockumentary here or there I HATE the "found footage" type shakey camera deal. That is what truely annoys me.

Agreed. They played the suspense well too. Didn't try to bore you with tons of bullshit. Also to note the theater was nearly sold out. Didn't expect that either.

Seen The Sitter last night. Didn't enjoy it at all, far too formulaic for my liking. Thinking of checking out War Horse next weekend!

I saw Red Tails today and really enjoyed it. Just a fun, old-school war movie.
I've been hearing really good things about Haywire, I might check that out next weekend.
