If you haven't seen Cabin in the Woods, do so immediately. Even if you aren't a horror fan, you need to see it. It plays with every horror film stereotype and has a bunch of references. Great film.

Cabin In The Woods just seems like another version of Cabin Fever.

Considering the latter is bad enough to be enjoyable, I may go see it anyway.

If it's comparable to any other horror movie, which it really isn't, I'd have to say Scream.

I'd have said Evil Dead, but it has the contemporary feel to it that Scream had, but its incomparable to anything really, very unique film.

Ignore the trailers, they do the film no amount of justice what-so-ever.

That would also work. I just said Scream because of the obvious lampooning of horror stereotypes.

I love how the trailer sets it up as basically just another horror movie...

Seen Cabin In The Woods again tonight, I went with some friends who hadn't seen it, and it is still as as the first time, having a crisis of faith with it and my favorite film, Dawn of the Dead, the original.
