Since when do they start teasing us with side project, past members or fucking what not. I really think that for a tease like that it has to be a Maiden related news, and pretty big (tour news (maybe even dates) \ album or dvd release)

Now I've lost interest. The earlier announcement of Adrian's side project was announced without fanfare. Nicko's drum clinic, Lauren Harris, Rise to remain. All announced with no fanfare. Guess I'll be with Van Halen after all.

This is how I feel, but in regards to the original intent of the topic as well. Seriously, I just don't care about "forthcoming news" or "countdowns to announcements", and all the fanboy speculation that goes on with them. It pisses me off that Maiden can't just DO anything anymore, they need to have a week-long promotional campaign to prepare the world for the announcement.
