Is it sexist if I say this sounds like the worst time ever?

I'm in a female-fronted band, and I agree. Outside of Doro I have absolutely no interest in any of these bands, and I'm sure 90% of them sound exactly the same, and are all playing off the same gimmick.

People need to stop treating female fronted bands as something special, since genuinely most of them really aren't.

Also, I realize metal fans aren't always the most progressive bunch, but distinctifying female-fronted bands as the "other" is pretty sexist in and of itself. If they're any good, their music will stand on its own. Having to lump it into a fictitious genre based on what's between the singers legs does a disservice to everyone.

Oh, nevermind... I just saw Triosphere played as well - they rule. I stand by what Brad said though.

I'm a big fan of female-fronted symphonic metal but I agree that there are more generic, boring bands in that department than genuinely good ones. I wouldn't mind seeing about a third of the bands in that lineup, but there are much better bands out there.

Draconian is far from deserving in lumping them in what y'all are doing.

Therion, Draconia, Doro, Leaves' Eyes, Battlelore, Visions of Atlantis, Midnattsol, Trail of Tears and Stream of Passion are great. The rest is poop with a couple just "alright".
