The venue was too small for the band's equipment, so instead of packing up and cancelling he decided to do a special Acoustic ONLY set this night, comprised of both requests and songs Devin himself picked for the night.

Awesome setlist....BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT Notes From Africa was a song on Synchestra, an album that was released in 2006. Are you sure he didn't mean played since 2006?

Actually I thought it was a typo, in the video he does say 2002. Weird, good catch.

Basically the stage can barely fit 3 people across comfortably, and in the back there is a small higher platform for the drums. This venue is usually used for small local bands, why the fuck they booked DTP at this venue I don't know, we had other venues better suited for him. Anyway, their monster drums wouldn't fit on the designated stage area for them, and the tons of other equipment he uses would've made the stage way too small and cramped.

This would have been amazing, I am jealous! Sucks about the equipment, but it does happen, quite a lot too, all comes down to the venues available on the night, promoters involved and fees required for which venue gets used, Devin got the short straw tonight, but from what I've heard he has seen much worse things go wrong.

Doing songs from Ghost for an acoustic show is pretty cool. I can't imagine Juular acoustic.
