The worst live bands list made me lol. All Shall Perish worse than Impending Doom? I know you hate deathcore (and that's completey fine with me, to each his own), but that is just straight-up wrong.

Skeletontits

10/8 - Jackpot Saloon - Lawrence, KS

with Wrath and Ruin, The Cast Pattern

Quite possibly my favorite live band ever, Skeletonwitch was better than ever this year. They played great cuts off their new album, the best tracks off their last album, and a whole ton of their classic tracks from the first album. And "Within My Blood" is still my favorite concert closer of all time. Unmatched intensity.

Original Review

Highlights: Within My Blood, Crushed Beyond Dust, Fire From The Sky

Diamond Head

8/23 - Knucklehead's - Kansas City, MO

It was pretty amazing to see the band that influenced the biggest metal band in the world to form 30 years ago. And they can still rock. A Diamond Head show has that perfect blend of old-school hard rock and heavy metal that make every song memorable, and the members can still play the hell out of their instruments. Everyone pretty much lost it when "Am I Evil?" started, but the small but enthusiastic crowd was going nuts the entire night.

Original Review

Highlights: Am I Evil?, Lightning To The Nations, Helpless

Weedeater

3/3 - Jackpot Saloon - Lawrence, KS

with Zoroaster and Masses.

By far one of the heaviest bands in the world right now, but with their heaviness comes a great groove that can only be achieved by those crazy Southern-folk. All band members participated in their own brand of insanity which made songs like "Jason...The Dragon" and the Lynyrd Skynyrd cover of "Gimme Back My Bullets" so much fun, but true chaos came from the closing song, "Weed Monkey" which ended the night with a bang.

Original Review

Highlights: Jason...The Dragon, Weedmonkey, God Luck and Good Speed

These guys were great! I wasn't sure what to expect but I was really happy with their performance. Am I Evil? is probably the heaviest live song I've ever heard. Also, I loved how the guitar player (can't remember his name right now...) was older than everyone at Heavy TO, but still rocked harder than any of them

Job sound NOTHING like Domination-era Morbid Angel.
