Deicide - To Hell With God

I think "The Stench of Redemption" is the best album released in the 2nd half of Deicide's career, and "Till Death Do Us Part" to be pretty bad. Thankfully, "To Hell With God" follows more in the same style as Stench. Super fast, crazy Ralph Santolla solos and Glen is pissed as ever. Deicide is still a force to be reckoned with!

Highlight: Hang In Agony Until You're Dead

Impiety - Worshippers Of The Seventh Tyranny

Leave it to Singapore's Impiety to make a 40-minute, single-track, underground blackened death metal record. One 40 minute track might seem a bit pretentious at first, but once you put on the album, it's the same, good ol' Impiety. Sounds a lot like Bestial Mockery, which is a HUGE plus.

As I posted in my review thread, this album shocked me lol. It did take a few listens before I could truly get into it, but yeah, still worth checking out for sure!

Inquisition - Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm

Inquisition should be liked by everyone who likes late 90s/early 00s Immortal. Same vocal style, same atmosphere, but definitely more underground. This album has their more mid-paced stuff as well as the fast, more thrashy tracks. Definitely amazing, and Inquisition will be huge in the next few years.

Highlight: Cosmic Invocation Rites

Wrath and Ruin - Mouth of Oblivion

What better way to be introduced to industrial metal than by an awesome local band? This album is terrifying, claustrophobic, and has a really eerie atmosphere. It makes for a truly memorable album. Huge recommendation for fans of Godflesh.

Heavy Rocks (2011)

My favorite album from one of my favorite bands this year, out of the FOUR they released. Should satisfy fans of the original Heavy Rocks, but it's still crazy out there and experimental. Any fan who just wants Boris to make another Pink is obviously not a true fan. They rule so hard.

Autopsy - Macabre Eternal

Not sure if Autopsy will ever beat their first two albums, but god damn they had a hell of a time trying with their latest album! Full of all the awesome doom/death metal they're known for, and I think "Dirty Gore Whore" is one of the best they've ever recorded. Autopsy is back!

Origin - Entity

With no vocalist, recording "Entity" with just input from the core members made for a truly awesome Origin record. Everything we love about Origin is here: insane speed coupled with even more insane technicality, but it's all tight and sounds great. Definitely a step-up from their last album!

Good call on Dirty Gore Whore, but I think it is second to the epic SADISTIC GRATIFICATION
