Death Metal Recommendations

I'm trying new music out and looking for some good death metal. Already know some bands and like some but thought I'd ask here and get some recommendations.

Anasarca are a newer discovery for me, check them out on youtube.

You can't go wrong with some Decapitated, Suffocation or Nile though!

If you don't already listen to Autopsy then you should get on that. They're probably the greatest death metal band of all time.

I am no death metal expert, I only like a few death metal bands, but, Obscura, Death, Bloodbath and Morbid Angel are good.

Some of my favorites: Bloodbath, Demiurg, My Own Grave, Coldworker, Spectral Mortuary, Zombie Inc.

I would also highly recommend The Project Hate MCMXCIX. They are a death metal band but they also incorporate other things like melodic female vocals, piano/synthesizer and occasionally some industrial stuff.

These, also Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back To Life, Gorguts - Considered Dead, and maybe Unleashed - Where No Life Dwells are perfect for getting you into the whole death metal scene. They are all great first death metal records.

Did you have any particular kind of death metal you wanted to try out? Melodic? Brutal? Technical? etc.

Donno' if you're a fan of pestilence but definitely get their shit if you wanna get into some heavy ass fucking old school death metal. Even though i wouldnt' say their super old stuff is death metal, more along the lines of thrash(especially the demos that came before Malleus Maleficarum). But you should definitely get those tunes, and more importantly you gotta get their magnum opus...

Consuming Impulse(original album cover)
