It's just alright. There are a few great songs, and some mediocre ones. But I only listened to it once, so maybe it will grow on me.

Was in a slammin' mood last week, so I checked out Abominable Putridity's new album 'The Anomelies of Artificial Origin' and Provocation's 'Forging The Gods'.

Abominable Putridity features ex-Pathology vocalist Matti Way. Very solid slam album. It's the kind of slam that I like : slamming breakdowns as part of brutal death metal. Not the talentless beatdown slam that's nothing but pig squeals and breakdowns. Can't believe how many bands are like that. Tracks 1, 3, and 5 are really solid. Gave it a 6/10

The Provocation is the aforementioned beatdown slam. I admit, there are some quality breakdowns, but there's not anything close to an actual vocal in the entire album, just literal gurgles and pig squeals.

Also, finally listened to the new Napalm Death a few times through. It isn't bad. I don't love it, but then again Napalm is a band I've always loved live, and just "sort of" liked them on CD. Everyday Pox is a great fuckin song though.

You won't be disappointed.

Also, I see you're from Gainesville. I assume you're going to the show in May?
