Lamb o' God debuted at #3. Good for them.

On a much shittier note, Aborted's Global Flatline sold only 1000 copies in it's first week. Shit, didn't think it would break records, but thats just bad.

I thought the average for underground bands these days was around 200 copies.

Hmmm. Wrath was #2 when it came out, so that's the first time they've actually gone down between releases. It was wishful thinking, but I was hoping they could pull another Far Beyond Driven and get that top slot.

That's actually fantastic for a band like Aborted.

They'll sell some more since they're on a few tours (or are they still?) coming up. But this is the most press Aborted has had in a loooong time.

And the new album isn't even that good.

It may be. I just figured they'd sell more than 1000. They've been around a while, and are pretty well known in the death metal/grindcore community. I don't know, it just seems like a low number to me.
