Concerts you attend for your girlfriend/mate

Ok, so we have all been there.....what is the worst/most surprising concert you have been to for your friend or partner??

The reason I'm asking is because my girlfriend got me and her brother a ticket for Foo Fighters this weekend...and tbh, I'm not really looking forward to it. I've seen them headline a festival in 2005 but this is about a 2/3 hour drive away, the support acts are shit, and judging from the last few shows, the foo fighters will be on for around 2.5/3 hours, longing out songs like monkey wrench for 10 mins and playing 3 cover songs!

I know I'm moaning, and could be worse, but just wondering if any of the other guys on here have ever been dragged to concerts for their girlfriends or friends that they didn't want to go to?

Thankfully, my girlfriend is into enough of the same music as me that we've never had an issue of a worst show. Her favorites are 80a Hair bands, Power Metal and Folk Metal while I have an appreciation of almost any rock or metal genre.

I guess the worst experience(s) we've had was when I got her a Christmas present for 5 acoustic shows back in the beginning of the year. It had nothing to do with the shows what so ever, it was because at a casino in bumfuck Wisconsin and the audiences were drunk, inconsiderate pieces of shit. Which I expected because I grew up around there.

Me and Christopher saw Backstreet Boys at a mall once with a bunch of friends. That was pretty cool.

My ex girlfriend dragged me to a Puscifer concert, and it was truly one of the most god awful live experiences of my life. Their 90 minute set felt like 4 hours it was so boring.

I've seen a fuckton of shows for my wife.

Bon Jovi seven times. Each one has gotten progressively more unbearable for me to the point where I told her she can go by her damn self in 2010. The worst was probably one from the Lost Highway tour. I fucking hated that tour.

I also saw the Backstreet Boys twice. Once during their heyday in 2001. We had fourteenth row tickets at the Skydome in Toronto. That crowd is still the most insane, most disrespectful crowd I've ever been a part of. The girls were rushing the stage like they were at...a Backstreet Boys concert in 2001. The second was in 2005 and it was way more subdued because the Backstreet Boys were so done by then. The second one was better because most of the girls were legal.

I've also seen a ton of musicals and Vertical Horizon. Amount of times I got laid for all this work: not once.

The only show I ever took her to was Ministry and Meshuggah in 2008. She hated every second of it and made sure I knew it. Not that it mattered, Ministry sucked balls that night.
