opening for Origin

Maybe it was just bad sound for them, or maybe they've become shitty performers since the last time I saw them on Summer Slaughter. Either way, I didn't enjoy myself. Even their only stand-out song, "Dechristanize," was pretty fucking bad.

opening for Melechesh and Rotting Christ

Really, really bad symphonic black metal with deathcore parts. They put on a mediocre performance as well. Hopefully when I see them with Dark Funeral they'll be better because they sound like WITTR now.

opening for Revocation and Atheist

I... I don't even... what? Progressive/technical deathcore, sorta djenty...not my bag at all. The vocalist was doing the worst pig squeals ever, and he looked simply retarded while doing them It was just terrible. Holy shit...

Denial Fiend
opening for Obituary

They sound like they would be a decent death-thrash band (they have Terry Butler, Sam Williams, Rob Rampy, and Blaine Cook), but...they're not. They're, um... really, really bad I thought they sounded okay when I listened to them on Spotify, but hearing them live was pretty traumatic. I left after about two or three songs.

Most of the time when people on this board say "I'm gonna get flamed for this," they end up not getting flamed at all. I dunno why. But I know I'm gonna get flamed for this. You know what? I hate Atheist. I think they're one of the worst bands I've ever heard in my life. But it's not just that I don't like them on record. Their performance sucked. It SUCKED. I can't believe I stayed a whole hour. I can't believe I wasted a precious hour of my life on that. Frankly, I cringe at the memory. It was that bad.

(Atheist fanboy here!) I'm guessing Atheist sucked nowbecause of the new material... it's not very good and to they probably took the approach when writing it to a live performance. I can understand that. I'm lucky I saw them 2 years ago where they didn't even start writing the new album, were great live and their set list kicked ass!

Pretty much, especially with the vocals. Kelly Schafer's vocals have pretty much been shot now.

I thought Atheist was pretty damn good when I saw them. They were really tight and Kelly still sounded good. He's not as good as he was on the old material, but he sounds like pretty much what you hear on Jupiter. Also, I wish he was still able to play guitar live. The only band I haven't heard of Denial Fiend, but mainly LCTR and Atheist.

Having seen/hung out with Abigail Williams, and vital Remains being....VITAL REMAINS, this just blows my mind.
