Warbringer - Worlds Torn Asunder


Thrash has always been my favorite genre of metal. With that being said, I am extremely picky about my thrash. Honestly, not even 50% of the thrash I listen to today I can even stand. My issue is with the vocals. Thrash vocals are so easy to fuck up. But when they're good, they're amazing, as evidenced by John Kevill's monstrous thrash yell.

So what if this is generic thrash that's basically just ripping off Exodus? I don't like Exodus. Warbringer really amped up their somgwriting on this one. As GarageMetal said, much of this album is more mid-tempo thrash, but mid-tempo thrash can be just as good, if not better than your ordinary fast thrash.

Hopefully, with this album Warbringer will prove themselves to be not just another new-wave of thrash band, but a whole being in itself.
