What? I said that Skeletonwitch were overrated, dumbass. I love Vektor and Revocation
There's a period in between "one of the most overrated bands" and "along with Vektor, Revocation, Warbringer".

I feel that way about quite a few of the "new wave" of thrash bands apart from Vektor and maybe Revocation.

Anthrax - Worship Music Megaforce Records ![]() 01. Worship 02. Earth On Hell 03. The Devil You Know 04. Fight 'Em Til You Can't 05. I'm Alive 06. Hymn 1 07. In The End 08. The Giant 09. Hymn 2 10. Judas Priest 11. Crawl 12. The Constant 13. Revolution Screams So uh, it's Anthrax. With a new album. With Belladonna singing again. Which is pretty good, until you realize it isn't a thrash metal album - which, believe it or not, makes this album shine the more. Diehard thrashers who believed that there'd be another Among the Living someday will obviously bash this album, for a standard heavy metal release, it's pretty damn good. With the only exceptions The Devil You Know and Fight 'Em 'Till You Can't, this album is a return to form for Anthrax, after a few shitty albums with Dan Nelson (inb4 I piss off some Nelson fans); both Ian and Belladonna get their spotlight moments here, especially on Earth On Hell, my favorite from the album. Earth On Hell

Dream Theater - A Dramatic Turn Of Events Roadrunner Records ![]() 01. On the Back of Angels 02. Build Me Up Break Me Down 03. Lost Not Forgotten 04. This is the Life 05. Bridges in the Sky 06. Outcry 07. Far from Heaven 08. Breaking All Illusions 09. Beneath the Surface With Mike Portnoy gone, lots of butthurt fanboys complained that DT wouldn't be the same. While that may be true (I did feel much more prog rock in this record than prog metal) this album is no less DT than before. Mike Mangini is an appropriate replacement for Portnoy, and LaBrie's songwriting is great here. The only complaints I have are as mentioned earlier the amount of clean parts - it became monotonous at a certain point, maybe explaining why the only track that stands out to me (and how it stands out!) is Build Me Up, Break Me Down, one of my favorite DT songs to date now. Build Me Up Break Me Down

Please tell me LaBrie writes the songs, or else that'll be the second fuck-up I've made in this thread.

LaBrie probably has a say, but Petrucci and Rudess pretty much have complete control of the band. Petrucci actually wrote all of the drums for Magini (while letting him make a few changes) and most of the lyrics for the album.
