I knew a few people from Colorado in college. I took a girl from there to an Iron Maiden show and she was appalled. Not much metal there then....maybe it's different now though.

Colorado Springs is extremely fucking conservative/Christian. But the occasional metal show goes to The Black Sheep. Other than, I dunno. I was looking at a school there but I didn't get in. Denver's just under 90 min away, though.

From a co-worker of mine who has family in the area, the majority of people in the Colorado Springs area are pretentious, arrogant yuppies. That doesn't usually bode well for metal. But like someone else said, you're only about 90 minutes from Denver. I've heard Denver is an extremely fun city.

Yea, your best bet is Denver; sometimes you'll get shows at the Black Sheep but most of the action is in Denver and is much more fun than the springs
