what the fuck

I guarantee any band that is smaller than Lamb of God doesn't play a 75 minute headlining set nowadays.

I could probably it make it to the Boston show or Montreal show. Maybe both.

I'm with Northern_Shaman on this one. Haven't been to many shows where the headliner played under 75 minutes. If they do it's usually because of technical difficulties. Otherwise UNACCEPTABLE.

Okay, should have clarified. If it's a national package tour, then headlining sets are obviously around 75 min in length.

Now I'm really fucking confused. Bands smaller than LOG that I've seen headlining so far in 2011 include: Enslaved, Evergrey, Grave, Amon Amarth, The Sword, 3 inches of Blood, Eluveitie, and Devin Townsend (not a lot, but a decent amount). Every single one of these bands played longer than 75 minutes. Amon Amarth played for 2.5 hours this time around due to their tour being an 'Evening with...', but the other three times I've seen them headlining have had at least 80 minute sets.

Which bands have you guys been seeing that make you say the majority of headliners (touring, might I specify) play for 40 minutes..? That's a bit of a ripoff.

Thought that something was a bit strange there!

Oh, I was thinking about much smaller bands, the ones I normally see. Like Warbringer, Black Dahlia Murder, Ghoul, etc.

I've seen Ghoul and Black Dahlia headline, I'm pretty sure they both played at least 75 minutes. I think Black Dahlia was probably a good 90 minutes, it was the Metal Blade 25th anniversary tour in '05.

Can't speak for Warbringer though

^_^ Anything an hour or over for headliners is acceptable for me

January 25th....FUUUUUUCK YEAAAAAAH!

As for headlining bands' sets. Apparently none of you guys go to shows that are non-label bands. I've gone to and played many shows where the headlining band gets 45 minutes then thrown off stage. For Ghost. Who's to say they won't have a new songs by January?

I'm guessing it will be an hour long show, possibly at most, but I will go on record saying an hour long show.
