Exhumed -- Montréal, Quebec -- November 4th, 2011

Venue: Foufounes Électriques

This absolutely was the best show I went to this fall! Every band killed it.

Self Collapse are a local technical death band with deathcore influences. They were really good, and Beneath the Massacre fucking destroyed as always. I thought they sounded better than at the Trois-Rivières Metalfest. Anyway, I don't feel like writing a review, GarageMetal kinda said it all.

By the way, Ben from Goatwhore said that they were going to tour North America with Lock Up in february! With this and Nasum being added at MDF, I'm going to see two of my favorite grind bands; I'm happy .

Self Collapse included

Mechanical Process
Bane of the Nameless
Utopia

Beneath the Massacre

The Casket You Sleep In
Society's Disposable Son
Our Common Grave
No Future
Black Tide
The System's Failure

Havok

No Amnesty
Fatal Intervention
Morbid Symmetry
Out of My Way
D.O.A.

Goatwhore (maybe missing one)

Carving Out The Eyes Of God
Sky Inferno
Alchemy Of The Black Sun Cult
The All-Destroying
Beyond the Spell of Discontent (new song)
Commanding The Legions Of Hell
To Mourn And Forever Wander Through Forgotten Doorways
Collapse In Eternal Worth (new song)
Provoking The Ritual Of Death
Invert The Virgin
Apocalyptic Havoc

Exhumed

All Guts, No Glory
Death Knell
Necrotized
(Anatomy Is Destiny)

Fuck yeah, it's true! And yeah, an Exhumed show is always bound to be an awesome time!

Yep, I had a great time! The pits were amazing during Havok and Exhumed (and also by the end of Goatwhore's set).

Loved their performance, they had a really raw sound, a lot heavier than the two previous times I've seen them, and the songs were almost perfectly executed. It felt like you were being ran over by a fucking train . Eliot has an enormous stage presence. I can't wait for the new album!
