Looks like they've completely changed their style again and are giving it another kick at the can. If they know what they've done in the past isn't working why not change their name as well, because that's what's holding them back more than anything.

Great set

. I rarely listen to these guys on CD, but I saw them live in '09 and they've become one of my favorites. I didn't get lucky w/ this tour. Closest date is 3+ hours from me.

According to the setlist.fm entry for the Gramercy show last Thursday, Keep of Kalessin isn't really changing it up much from the last two times they were here; they do show seven songs on the list instead of the usual five or six but nothing really new. Bummer, I was hoping they would at least do Crown of the Kings. Come Damnation with Attila on vocals would be sweet but I expect the closest I'll get to hearing that live with Attila are the bonus live tracks on the Reclaim reissue; I'd even be stoked to hear that song with Thebon on vocals.

Yeah, very disappointing indeed. It sounded really promising when they first announced they were going to be direct support for Mayhem too.

Assuming that setlist is correct, it's the same old stuff from Kolossus and Reptilian that they always play.

Edit:

I just noticed a somewhat bald guy playing drums in those Keep of Kalessin videos. I'm guessing that Vyl must be busy with Gorgoroth's current European tour. That might help explain them not switching things up on the setlist.
