You don't need to. The album is "out" right now

I'll have to give it more listens but i'm not as impressed as everyone else seems to be. The record is pretty solid throughout but on my first listen I felt The End of the Beginning was the best song by far and I was disappointed with the rest of the album because I just kept waiting for it to get that good again.

Then again that was just my first impression. I'm sure some songs will grow on me a little more.

I felt the same way. About the 3rd or 4th listen it really grew on me once I was able to sit back and enjoy it several listens in a row.

Haven't had a chance to listen all the way through, but Ozzy's voice sounds too good to be true. I'm trying to stay completely objective about it but every other vocal run has me wondering "how many takes did they splice together to get that"
I hate being a cynical asshole.

It doesn't sound the best, but at least it's not overproduced to all shit. I honestly hadn't thought about it the way you did until right now. Way to spread the negativity, bro.

Hey, at least Ozzy was willing to work that hard to get enough takes to have decent enough ones to splice together. There's definitely some processing on Ozzy's voice, but it's nothing compared to his last few solo albums. Just from "God Is Dead?" it's apparent that Ozzy really had to work his ass off on this. There's definitely some "fix it in post" but it's not a "fuck it, fix everything in post" like Scream was. (And hey, I don't think Scream is a terrible album. Just a meh one.)
