There's too much revenue to be gained for this to fall by the wayside.

Providing that Iommi beats cancer and recovers fully, I think the worst case scenario would then be that the band goes forward without Bill Ward.

As much as I love the original Black Sabbath, due to aging and health issues, I wondered if Ward could even pull this off. He looked awfully old and out of shape (playing skills wise) last time I saw him behind the kit with Sabbath. Drums are one instrument in metal that you need to be in good physical shape with good reflexes and stamina to perform night after night.

I say carry on with Vinny Appice...

I don't think 80% of the people going to these reunion shows even know who ever played Drums in Black Sabbath. Hell most people - some of them even Sabbath fans - don't even know that Sabbath existed without Ozzy.

You're right but still for the die hards it would be disappointing without Bill.

Disappointing indeed, but those same die-hards would probably still go regardless of Bill's presence. So I don't think there's money lost.

I'm afraid this won't happen at all.

I don't understand Bill, I might be the only one but anyway: every real metalhead and the other members are eagerly awaiting the album & shows, and he starts to moan about money. And while Vinny is ok, this is the original Sabbath for God's sake.

People only care about it being the original Sabbath because they can say it's the original Sabbath. Apart from Tony and Ozzy no one -actually- cares who's in the band. They just want to be able to say "I saw the original Sabbath," like it's some kind of achievement.

Personally, I don't care if they play with Bill or Vinny or Brian Tichy again, but if Bill is getting screwed, which he probably is, then good luck to him.

He's screwed because he lets himself screw. This is the final possibility for a reunion.

Would you like to see them tour & record until they're 100, like teh Stones?

Ozzy won't even come close to making it to 100 though. He's already in another dimension.
