Judas Priest -- Concord, CA -- October 27th, 2011
Same set that sep posted from LA. I totally missed Thin Lizzy due to traffic and the show starting promptly at 6 for once. Definitely some nice surprises in the Priest set, I'm sure some of the drunk 80's nostalgia people weren't too happy but fuck those fools.

How was Halford's voice during songs like 'Victim of Changes'?

I'm more interested in hearing how Halford pulls off Painkiller at 60 years old.

For real. Actually Victim of Changes was one of the better ones, he really had a few awesome moments where he hit notes that I would've bet he couldn't. That said: he did have delay and reverb kick in every once in a while to make it sound like he held them way longer than he actually did; I don't think he sang a word in Breakin the Law, which I could care less about having heard it live 4 times now; and there were a few other bits that he skipped, sang in a lower key or whatnot. None of that really hindered the show.

Halford mouthed the whole song. It allowed him to rest for "Painkiller".

I guess they're just letting the crowd sing BTL on this tour, because at Saturday's show it was just the crowd singing also.Like I said before I was very impressed at how Halford pulled off Painkiller.Hopefully he can keep it up for the rest of the tour.

Yeah, at our show he didn't sing for breaking the law either. It's all good though, he sounded FUCKING great for painkiller. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkBTrbufP20

Judas Priest were soooo great. Halford sounded great. That note at the end of Victim of Changes was
Definitely in the Top 5 performances I've seen all year.

To those who wonder if Halford can still bring it live, watch this video of them on Jimmy Fallon a few weeks ago. Especially near the end.
