Behemoth -- Poznan, Poland -- October 8th, 2011

At last, the time has come for the triumphant return of Behemoth. The revamped set list is great. I admit, I was hoping for another older song, but it's cool to see "Moonspell Rites" in there. I look forward to seeing them again.
  1. Ov Fire and the Void
  2. Demigod
  3. Moonspell Rites
  4. The Seed ov I
  5. Before the Aeons Came
  6. Heru Ra Ha: Let There Be Might
  7. Conquer All
  8. Antichristian Phenomenon
  9. Alas, Lord Is Upon Me
  10. Vinvm Sabbati
  11. Decade of Therion
  12. Shemhamforash
  13. Slaves Shall Serve
  14. At the Left Hand ov God
  15. Chant for Eschaton 2000
  16. 23 (The Youth Manifesto)
  17. Lucifer

Fuck yeah, Heru Ra Ha! I hope they're planning on riding this set through Europe and the US too.

I wouldn't get too excited after seeing this setlist. Behemoth likes to play longer sets in Poland than they do in other countries. Too bad they didn't play Wolves Guard my Coffin again.

Hmm. Other than a few cool additions (which are definitely welcome), that's pretty similar to what they did here back in early 2010. I love Ov Fire, but I think it's a pretty shitty opening song. And Lucifer is just... weird for a closer. I remember everybody going crazy and moshing for Chant, then just stood around awkwardly while they finished with Lucifer. It just kind of throws off the mood, y'know? Although it was cool to see Nergal come out in that fucking beast of a mask. Behemoth are really one of the only bands that manage to dress up tastefully and maintain ultimate badassery.

As for me, my biggest gripe is that one of, if not my most, favorite Behemoth songs is Daimonos. AND IT IS THE PERFECT OPENER. Why they don't play it at the beginning, let alone EVER, frustrates the hell out of me.

I always wondered why they chose not to play Daimonos. That is one of their strongest songs.

We all know they're gonna do another support tour for Evangelion here next year. I just hope they change around the songs from that album for once for us that have already seen them once, if not twice, supporting it. Daimonos, Transmigrating the Beyond the Realms Ov Amenti, and Defiling the Morality Ov Black God would be sick to see!

Honestly the fact that this concert happened is one of the best stories in the entire world. Nergal is a fucking hero of mine.

I'm still bummed the US tour with Watain was cancelled. Maybe they can start that up again at some point.
