Sylosis -- London, England -- October 7th, 2011
Saw them at the Islington Academy in London - it's the third show I've seen in London since I moved from Australia, and holy tits it was so good. Really impressive support from Chapters, Anterior and Malefice as well.
Sylosis set: Procession Sands of Time The Blackest Skyline Teras Kingdom of Solitude Eclipsed Reflections Through Fire Stained Humanity Altered States of Consciousness --------- Empyreal A Serpent's Tongue Really, really good performance from an awesome English band. Their frontman Josh is insane, he does lead vocals and plays lead guitar as well - he's a total shredder, but real tasteful and melodic. I'd urge all of you living in the US to see them open for As I Lay Dying on their upcoming tour! Also check out my review of their recent album "Edge of the Earth". A really strong contender for my fav album of 2011. I also reviewed the show for Planet Loud, so check that out here!

Saw Sylosis opening for Testament a couple of years ago. I can't actually remember if I'd seen them before that or not, but hated every minute of it. Totally mismatched with Testament anyway, but awful vocals and terribly generic music didn't help. Kinda interested to see if they've improved with different vocals, but only kinda.

Their new album kicks all kind of ass. Totally great. My only complaint is that it runs a little long, and sometimes tends to be forgettable. Would still love to see 'em live someday.

Also went to this show, you beat me to posting the setlist/review lol.
Was an awesome show, and a talented band....josh is a talented frontman - good vocals/awesome lead guitar. Seen them a few times at festivals and supporting various bands, but never headlining. Would've liked to have seen a longer set, they started at around 8:50 and were done by 10 o'clock, but was really intense, hardly any talking, just metal. Didn't see chapters, but anteriom (2nd support band) were awesome, and melefice were okish. Try checking out Sylosis if you get the chance
