I'm surprised you didn't mention on how Metallica ripped off that opening section of the song for One.

The only Anthrax song on the list clocks in at #23. I'm not 100% sure it's my favorite Anthrax song but it's definitely the best one to headbang to for me. I don't care what I'm doing if I hear those transitions into the fast parts I always lose it. Even the main riff is great to headbang to.

Last time I saw Anthrax I really only had to hear this song. They were only playing it sporadically and when they broke into it I went ballistic. The fact that this song isn't a live staple like the monotonous Antisocial is a total travesty to me.

If someone asked me who is the absolute worst band at picking setlists Anthrax would be Top 3 for sure. I love so many of their songs yet they continue to only play the songs their true fans have heard over and over again. Even the newest headlining setlist is below par for a band with so many great albums and songs. A.I.R. should be played every night. Period.

#23 - Anthrax - A.I.R.

This was my favorite song for a few years. I just couldn't get enough of it or the entire Swallowed in Black album for that matter. This song really highlights drummer Jon Allen and godlike bassist Steve DiGiorgio's bond. I could go on and on why I love this song but check it out and see what you think.

A.I.R. fuckin rocks. And yes, they are very bad at picking set lists. They need to include a lot more from The Persistence of Time

Totally agree. Lose Metal Thrashing Mad too. I don't hate it but In My World was incredible when I saw Joey do it solo.

Exhorder were one of the main bands targeted by the PMRC back in the day. When you put out an album called Slaughter in the Vatican I guess you expect some of that and it did hinder Roadrunner from properly supporting them and putting them on tours. On the other hand the publicity they received by being on Geraldo and news shows should have been priceless.

Between that and once Pantera blew up then named Exhorder as one of their main influences you would think this band had everything it took to be huge. Their 2nd album they changed their guitar sound to sound more like Pantera and everyone expected them to blow up. It never happened. I have no idea why but they never put out another album and never toured around here for this album. The only word in interviews was that they were all slackers and just wanted to play local clubs and party. If that's true, what a waste.

The Law is a great album and one of my favorites back in the day. I still throw it in and jam out every once in a while and this song always gets me singing and headbanging. It's just something about it.

#21 - Exhorder - (Cadence of) The Dirge

Before I delve into the Top 20 I wanted to throw in the 2nd of 3 "Bonus" lists.

These are all songs from semi-obscure or totally obscure bands or bands most people on here haven't heard that might interest classic thrash lovers. These were all on my long list when I started making a list and they all missed the cut for various reasons.

Xentrix - No Compromise
Assassin - Nemesis
EXE - Slaughter Disorder
Abattoir - Screams From The Grave
Wargasm - Humanoid
Cancer - CFC
I.N.C - Indestructable Noise Command
Morbid Saint - Darkness Unseen
Indestroy - The Gate
Whiplash - Thrash Till Death

Kicking off the Top 20 is a classic song off a thrash masterpiece. Like many people I have my issues with their vocals at times but this song is as good as Exodus gets. The solo still floors me to this day. I could have chosen several songs from Bonded By Blood but this one rocked me the most live so it's the highest Exodus song on the list.

#20 - Exodus - Strike of the Beast
